Description
This is a vintage rattan and cane lounge chair from the 1980s. It has a classic barrel club chair silhouette. Moreover, it is versatile. It works as naturally in a living room as it does on a covered porch or in a sunroom. The open cane weave covers the back, sides, and front panel completely. As a result, the chair has an airy, light presence. Solid upholstered alternatives simply can’t match that quality. The rounded rattan frame and dark wood feet keep it grounded. Yet they add no visual weight.
The ivory seat cushion is included. It completes the look well. All caning is intact throughout. There is some minor finish loss to the rattan frame. In addition, the cushion has light soiling. Both are consistent with age and use. There are no odors and no water damage.
