Description

A handsome American Colonial Revival hutch with an open plate rack upper and sideboard base, featuring the turned bobbin columns, carved scalloped apron, and decorative carved center drawer that define the style at its best. The warm walnut-toned finish has been refreshed — darkened and sealed with a new protective clear coat — giving it a rich, even appearance while preserving the character of the original piece. Works equally well as a dining room buffet, an entryway console, or a living room display piece.

The upper hutch offers two open display shelves with plate groove detailing and a shaped cornice. The lower base has two side doors, a carved center drawer, and a lower drawer, all opening and operating smoothly. Turned legs throughout. No maker’s marks; “Hastings” tag to back (likely a retailer). No water damage, no odors.
