Description
This is a Danish oak cabinet in the manner of Henning Kjærnulf. What sets it apart is the stained glass door panels. Most cabinets from this period feature clear glass. In contrast, the colored glass here adds warmth and a decorative quality. It filters the interior in a way that makes even simple display contents look considered. Yet the oak frame remains clean-lined and restrained in the Kjærnulf tradition.
At just over 35 inches wide and 34 inches tall, it is a versatile piece. Use it as a display cabinet, bar cabinet, or general storage. It works well in a living room, dining room, or entry. In addition, the stained glass makes it effective as a focal point. It draws the eye without competing with surrounding furniture.
