Description
A ceiling chandelier designed by Carl Fagerlund for Orrefors, produced in the 1960s during the height of the Swedish designer’s tenure with the glassworks. Fagerlund is best known for his collaborations with Orrefors on lighting that combined hand-blown glass with warm Scandinavian materials — and this piece reflects that sensibility well. The teak and brass hardware frame a glass shade in the restrained, considered way that makes mid-century Scandinavian lighting so persistently desirable.
At just under 15 inches wide and 41 inches in overall drop, it works in an entryway, a dining room, a bedroom, or anywhere a ceiling fixture needs to carry visual weight without overwhelming the room. The warm combination of teak, brass, and glass integrates naturally with both period Scandinavian interiors and contemporary spaces that favor natural materials.
