Henryk Lis was a notable Polish furniture designer active during the 1960s, renowned for his contributions to mid-century modern design. His most iconic creation is the Type 300-190 armchair, affectionately known as the “Lisek” (meaning “little fox” in Polish). This piece exemplifies the minimalist aesthetics and functional elegance characteristic of the era.

The Lisek armchair is celebrated for its clean lines, ergonomic form, and refined proportions. Crafted primarily from beech wood, the chair features a gently curved backrest that tapers towards the top, providing both comfort and visual appeal. The seat is typically upholstered in various fabrics, ranging from classic tweeds to vibrant velvets, allowing for versatility in interior design applications. Unmarked.

In beautiful vintage condition showing minimal wear. The velvet is bold yellow with no rips, tears or stains. The wood shows no chipping of paint and only a few small spots of rubbing and wear (see photos). Sturdy and clean.
