Description
A tall Danish oak bookcase by Henning Kjærnulf, produced in the 1970s and combining open shelving with glass-door cabinet storage in the clean, functional format that defined his best work. At just over 72 inches tall and nearly 40 inches wide, it has the scale to hold a wall with authority while the warm oak and restrained lines keep it from reading as heavy. The mix of open and closed storage — adjustable shelves above, wood doors below — makes it genuinely versatile in a living room, home office, dining room, or library.
Kjærnulf’s bookcases are among the most practical pieces in the Danish Modern canon: well-proportioned, honestly made, and designed to work as hard as they look. The Møbler tag to the back confirms Danish origin. Two shelves are adjustable. Interior cabinet shelf is fixed.
