Description
Set of ten Danish modern dining chairs in the style of Børge Mogensen, crafted in solid beech with a clean, utilitarian silhouette. The frames feature softly rounded edges and sturdy joinery, paired with wool upholstery in a warm, striped textile that adds depth without overpowering the form. Circa 1970s, these chairs strike that balance Mogensen was known for—honest materials, practical comfort, and timeless restraint.
Unmarked.
Dimensions
22ʺW × 17ʺD × 30.25ʺH
Seat Dimensions
18.5″W x 16″D x 17.25″H (arms 24″H)
Solid frames, finish intact. Some appearance of hazy white glaze in spots (we were not able to easily amalgamate it – perhaps in the finish). Minor scuffs and scratches consistent with age and use. Some minor spots on the fabric of a few chairs. One chair has a repaired hole along the side of the seat (see photos). No odor to note, no water damage or mold. Seat cushions are great for dining and meetings, but perhaps not well suited for an entire evening of after-dinner conversation.
