New Life From the Past

Refinishing and restoring forgotten and neglected pieces.

Herein lies a few snapshots of work I’ve done over the past year. Each of these pieces came to me in various states of disrepair and I’ll be sure to highlight some of the best of these in future posts! Most of these pieces were leftovers, basement discards, secondary furniture of the forgotten. I could walk you through the story of my beginning with each of these to when they left for new homes. The more severe the treatment, the more hints remain – buried deep in the wood grain. But you appreciate that. You appreciate what once was and can now be. You acknowledge the past shapes us and leaves its mark on us, but we still have the ability to be transformed into what we’re meant to be – something beautiful.
