Getting Back to Basics

I see a lot of techniques people use for refinishing furniture. I tend to pull out my orbital sander and start from there. Sure, it’s messy and takes a good amount of time, but I enjoy the process. This Basic Witz dresser was painted white and out for trash. When I picked it up, I didn’t know about the beautiful wood inlay on the top drawers. It was like Christmas morning discovering it! Each piece takes a fair amount of time to refinish depending on its condition when it arrives. My main goal is to replicate the original stain color of the piece.
